Previously, I blogged about a friend's situation where print jobs appeared to go off into the ether. I inquired about the situation recently and he said that it mysteriously resolved itself.
Weird.

Would it happen to only occur on Tuesdays? I was reading about a bug in file(1) patterns which caused it to misidentify postscript files as some other type if the date in the postscript header was Tuesday.
I honestly don't know, but I'll keep an eye on it.
Snce he's using the same software I am (openSUSE 11.1), and I surely print on Tuesdays as well, I doubt it.
Still, that sort of bug is fascinating, and thoroughly annoying.
